Welcome to the First Congregational Church of Rindge!

YOU are welcome, regardless of who you are, where you come from, or your religious background.  We know that visiting a new place can sometimes be a daunting experience.  We are glad you might join us, and hope that this information will make your first visit more comfortable.
 
When is the service?
Our Sunday worship service begins at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary, which is located up the stairs from the main entryway.

The service usually lasts about an hour, and is followed by coffee and fellowship in the downstairs hall. 

Where do I park?
                 Our building has a small parking lot that fills up quickly.  Luckily, there are a number of other places to park. 

                  You may park in front of the building on Payson Hill Road, or around the town common.  Limited parking is also               available on the exit road, which leads from the parking lot to School Street.  Parking for visitors with disabilities is available in designated spots at the front of the building and on the School Street side of the building.


How do I get to the Sanctuary?
                                                                   Our building - including the sanctuary - is accessible  and open to all.  

       

                                                                   There are two entrances to our building.                                                                                                                                                                      The main entrance is at the front of the building, and includes the two doors facing

                                                                   Payson Hill Road.  This entrance opens into the downstairs foyer.  Ascend the stairs,

                                                                   or use the elevator if you need it, to enter the sanctuary. 


A second entrance - the accessible entrance - is located on the School Street side of the building, at the top of the ramp.  This entrance brings you into the downstairs hall.  Traveling through the hall, the Sunday School area and a small corridor will bring you to the downstairs foyer.  


Greeters are stationed in the foyer.  Please let the greeter know that this is your first visit so he/she can guide you to the sanctuary, give you some information about our church, provide an overview of our service, and answer any questions you might have.

What can I expect?
 We invite you to come as you are and be your authentic self.  Jeans and sneakers are welcome, as are suits and ties.


What about Children?
Children are welcome in our church!  A Time with Our Children segment is included in the service, during which children are invited to join our pastor at the front of the sanctuary for a short lesson.  Afterwards, all children over age three through grade school are invited to attend our Sunday School program.   


Youth group meets twice a month.
